STUDIO PREVIEW: Michael Brun – Rise (Dirty South Edit)
Nothing like a new Dirty South preview splashed on my sunny Saturday. Apparently sun God Apollo heard my complaining about how Binghamton gets shafted out of sunshine, because today I’m looking at glowing blue skies. Today we’re dealt a double Rise n’ shine combo of sun and track, and I’m not sure which is hotter. From the clip, it seems like Rise contains the perfect elemental blend of air & fire; something I’ve come to expect from pretty much every Dirty South track. It also seems like his Melbourne studio is cooler the 2nd time around than the 1st time.
PREVIEW: Thomas Gold – Sing2Me
If you asked me to give you a synonym for Dirty South, it’d be Thomas Gold. The combination of these 2 musical maestros is like sucking on a Tootsie Roll pop: you get tied up with the texture and sweetness of one sound, but suddenly when you get to the center/the drop, you get completely wowed by a whole new dimension of intricateness. On their own, they’re just as lethal as a king cobra. But together, they’re just as lethal as 2 king cobras with lazers attached to their heads. That shit cray.
